Dan Farber over at ZDNet has an interesting exchange regarding the validity of calling something open source if not all of it is available for change. He cites a recent conversation with SugarCRM around this and raises some interesting points.The old favorite 'vi' editor gets a review of its latest features over at Linux.com. Much has been added to this release, including syntax highlighting, multiple levels of undo and multiple windows. I have to admit to not even thinking about the classic's and the fact people are still actively working. Fantastic.
I am on the brink of buying an iPOD radio alarm clock just as soon as I find a UK supplier. Gizmodo today is profiling another bizarre radio alarm clock, but this one you use a metal ball on the top to change the radio station. While it all looks kinda cool and geeky, at an early hour in the morning when this thing bursts into life hoping to burst you into life, that ball suddenly becomes a weapon! To be hurled across the room!
