One of the first rules they teach you at bank-robbing school is to make sure you carefully case the joint.  The key to the whole hiest is to make sure there are no surprises.

Note everyones movements, daily schedules, and most importantly the most likely time the banks vaults will be full of beautiful bounty.

Oh and another thing, seems silly to mention it, but make sure also the bank is actually operational!
