ZDNet is running a story from the Holland Open Source conference regarding how open source projects sometimes miss the need to keep the customer happy, with simple things like documentation, support for both the latest-and-the-greatest as well as legacy versions. Fortunately we at SpikeSource are here to help to fill in the gaps and put the 'product polish' on the components that many enterprises rely on for their daily business.

Another GPL violation hits the news today as the legal spotlight is directed towards the notebook manufacturer Targa. The main problem being is that they haven't released the source code of their changes, so you would think this is going to a relatively easy problem to make go away.

Sun in the news again today, but this time as the proud owner of a new company; StorageTek was purchased for $4.1B with Scott McNeally hinting that more buyouts would be likely. This is all good news for Sun as yesterday they announced their 'Share' marketing campaign that one of our guys in SpikeSource noticed a spooky similarity between the long line of Sun engineers holding up orange boards and with the BBC's Teletubbies website! We are all inspired by something eh?

Finally, every wondered what to do with that gaping hole in the front of your PC where the floppy drive use to be? Well you could put an Ionizer in there to charge the air with stuff thats suppose to be good for you!
