After open sourcing Java, one of Sun's biggest opponents has left. Graham Hamilton, one of the aging Java rock stars, has left Sun and while it is not yet known the real reason, the jungle drums are already pounding that it has something to do with the open sourcing of Java.
Hamilton was behind the JDBC API, JavaBeans and the JavaOS projects and where he is heading to next, it is not clear yet. One thing is for sure, Sun has lost a lot of historical Java knowledge as more and more of these top level guys leave.
