We're back and apologies for messing around with the scheduling of the updates with this blog, its been hectic here at SpikeSource. JavaOne has started in San Francisco and you can't seem to read anything without it pertaining to some press release from there. So lets see if we can navigate around this mine field.
There are lots of people blogging wirelessly from the show floor as it happens including apparently a rather cringe worthy spectacle of Scott McNealy singing happy birthday to Java.
Of the people at the start of Java's 10year success is our boss (and supreme leader) Kim Polese. Kim's interview with Dan Woods has gone online at O'Reilly and and if want to hear what she has to say about what are all doing then head over there.
If you are lucky and working in an office that has good flooring, you can take your chair, kick yourself off the nearest desk and set yourself flying for yards! Now, a major drawback with this is that while you are hurtling uncontrollably towards the office of the CEO your laptop is left stranded on the desk. With ScooterDesk, you can bring him along for the ride! Makes for a much more spectacular crash.
