Steve Ballmer of Microsoft fame has warned business users of Linux that they probably Microsoft some money for use of their patents within the Linux operating system.
However, in the next breath, any Novell user is safe, now that both of them have signed the "agree to disagree" deal protecting Novell users from legal wrangles.
No doubt Microsoft has already picked its first test case and time will tell how well it will play out.
