Speaking of being late to the party, I think I am guilty of that one, having missed the announcement that FireFox1.5 will be making a beta appearance next month. Details on the features are still a little sketchy at present, but faster browser and better pop-up blocking is on the cards. I have noticed that later FireFox releases aren't as fast on starting up as they use to be (and thats without all the plugins). Lets hope this release doesn't add too much bloat.
Joe Ottinger sent an interesting news item from InfoWorld regarding Sharp and a new LCD they are now manufacturing. It's basically two screens in one, depending on the angle you are viewing it from. GM Motors are the first to sign up, allowing the driver to see navigation information at the same time as the missus is watching a movie!
Thats it for this week. We are going to attempt to Podcast-enable this blog, so stay tuned for a weekly round-up including some stories that didn't make it here.
