Pagan inmates get day off to celebrate Halloween

Halloween is upon us, the night of trick and treating and basically scaring the bejesus out of the old couple at the end of the street.

But did you know Halloween is actually the end of the year for the Celtic calendar.  The 1st of November is the start of the new year for pagans.

In the UK there are over 300 registered pagans, which considering they are one of the oldest belief systems, they are hanging in there.

Prisons in the UK will be respecting the few pagans they have locked up by letting them off their daily duties and allowing them to observe their spiritual day.
