The 0.6 release candidate of the open source flash server was announced this week.
A complete alternative to Adobe's heavily priced flash server component, this project shows much promise in both being a great tool to develop with the Flash platform, but to be also a major thorn in Adobe's side.
Support for streaming music and movies, client call backs, recording of streams, its all here, packaged in a Java platform. So completely platform agnostic. Read more about red5 here.
