When all said and told the last couple of weeks have been a little rough on Redhat. With Larry Ellison's big arm movements to give the world an Unbreakable Linux, and again just last week Microsoft and Novell cosing up to one another, Redhat is needing to reaffirm itself in the enterprise support arena.
They have now offered to give free legal protection for their customers. So should a customer get served a suit due to code coming from Redhat, they will now step and take the heat and fight the good fight. They will also offer to rewrite the offending piece should it get to that level.
